  • San Ramon Art & Wind Festival - a beer & wine booth - Fundraiser - May 30-31, 2010

Service Projects:

  • Annual Grants to assist women in training & education to enter the work force - Woman’s Opportunity Award
  • Annual Grants to girls for community volunteering efforts - Violet Richardson Award
  • Cal High S Club high school service club. The S-Club of California High School was chartered in December of 2002. S-Club’s are service clubs sponsored by the schools and local Soroptimist International chapters to proved opportunities for high school students to get involved in their communities. S-Clubs support a wide range of community service projects and programs particularly emphasizing the areas of education, health and the environment. In addition to their service work, participation in the S-Club teaches students leadership and organizational skills. Students who excel in these programs may be eligible for several scholarships offered by Soroptimist International. Over the past four years, California High School S-Club has use funds raised to purchase a bed for the Tri-Valley Haven, provide Thanksgiving dinners for the Alameda Women’s Shelter, distribute funds for The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and Cal High’s diversity program.

    Anyone can be in the club and meetings will be held every week. Our school advisor for the 2009-2010 school year is still to be determined. This S-Club is just one of many around the world, serving their community and school.

  • Educational Projects in the San Ramon Valley middle and high schools  
  • International relief projects such as Project Independence that provides economic, educational and interpersonal support to women survivors of war, violence and poverty in countries such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Rwanda and Afghanistan
