CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL S-CLUB

The S-Club of California High School was chartered in December of 2002.

 

S-Club’s are service clubs sponsored by the schools and local Soroptimist International chapters to proved opportunities for high school students to get involved in their communities. S-Clubs support a wide range of community service projects and programs particularly emphasizing the areas of education, health and the environment. In addition to their service work, participation in the S-Club teaches students leadership and organizational skills. Students who excel in these programs may be eligible for several scholarships offered by Soroptimist International.

Over the past four years, California High School S-Club has use funds raised to purchase a bed for the Tri-Valley Haven, provide Thanksgiving dinners for the Alameda Women’s Shelter, distribute funds for The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and Cal High’s diversity program.

Anyone can be in the club and meetings are held every Tues at lunch-time in Room 314; Ms. Mendoza is our school advisor.
