Soroptimist International of the San Ramon Valley is part of the Founder Region of Soroptimist International of the Americas, a branch of Soroptimist International, which is a worldwide organization for women in business, management and the professions working through service projects to advance human rights and the status of women.

Soroptimist of the San Ramon Valley is dedicated to making a difference for women. The funds raised by our club help our communities to support projects in health, education, environment, economic and social development, human rights / status of women, and international goodwill and understanding.

President Eileen's Theme: Strength in Service

"When I was thinking about what my theme for 2011-2012 would be, I thought about what is important to me personally. I love exercise and working out and improving my strength is something I am committed to. I just feel better about myself and more confident when I am active and feel fit. Then, I thought about how this applies to Soroptimist and I thought of all the strong women who have helped to shape our organization and decided that, indeed, this is a key quality that I admire in all our members. This is how the theme was developed."

Soroptimist International of San Ramon is an organization of professional women who create an environment that nurtures personal growth and friendship as we develop community and global awareness and involvement.

Soroptimist Pledge

I pledge allegiance to Soroptimist and to the ideals for which it stands. The sincerity of friendship, the joy of achievement, the dignity of service, the integrity of profession, the love of country. I will put forth my greatest effort to promote, uphold and defend these ideals for a larger fellowship, in home, in society, in business for country and for God.
